Shangvi’s daughter Vidhi Salgaocar will head the consumer healthcare business. The company has entered into OTC category with its new product ABZORB.
Sun Pharma Consumer Healthcare (CHC), a division of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd announced its entry into the anti-fungal powder OTC category with ABZORB. The pharma company is already famous in the Indian market with their offerings such as Revital H and Volini.
The founder of the company Dilip Shanghvi has already involved his son Aalok Sanghvi in heading the emerging markets for Sun Pharma and now the Managing Director has introduced his daughter Vidhi Salgaocar as head of the consumer healthcare business. The announcement was made post the launch of their antifungal product ABZORB, said a media report.
Salgaocar is an economics graduate from the University of Pennsylvania and joined Sun pharma in 2012 before officially taking charge as head of the consumer division. Sun Pharma claims to be the fifth largest specialty generic pharmaceutical company in the world with global revenue of $ 4.5 billion. “We attribute our growth and success to our over 30,000 strong multi-cultural workforces from over 50 different nationalities. Our team has taken Sun Pharma to the heights that it has scaled and are now working to take it further up on its high growth trajectory,” according to Sun Pharma’s website.
